I crossed another one off of my pen wishlist when I got the Delta Israel 50th Anniversary commemorative fountain pen.

The Chinese pen manufacturer, Jinhao, makes a number of different fountain pens. One of their latest is the 995 Swan. It is an inexpensive pen, but how does it perform for the dollar price tag?

Vintage Pen Mail - A Hi-Writer and an unbranded lever filler
In pen mail today, I got two vintage additions to my collection. One is a circa 1920's or 30's third tier manufactured Hi-Writer. I have not been able to find any information on that brand in all of my searches. The other is an unbranded lever filler with a hooded nib, probably from the 1950's. It reminds me a lot of a Universal brand pen I have in its construction.

I share the Parker 95 fountain pen today. This one is a Laque Thuya. The Parker 95 was introduced in 1988 and was in production until 1994. These pens are still fairly common in the used market. I give my evaluation here.

Kaco Edge vs. Lamy 2000
The new Kaco Edge Chinese made fountain pen is being compared to the Lamy 2000. There are both similarities and differences. Is it a good substitute for the Lamy or just a cheap knock off? I compare and contrast them here.

Esterbrook Phaeton and Stipula Pasaporto Unboxing
It took the US Postal Service seven days to get this package from Goulet Pens to me once they had it in their local distribution center, but I finally got to unbox my latest pen mail order. You see it as I see it. I got a few pens for giveaway like a Lamy Safari, a Nemosine Singularity, and a Platinum Preppy marker. I also picked up a bunch of ink samples that were on sale. The main two items that I wanted to play with, however, were a modern Esterbrook Phaeton 300R and a Stipula Passaporto.
