Bad news for Johnston County

This "good ol' boy" has got to go. I have no problem with Will Crocker on a personal level, since I don't know him personally. However, in my professional dealings with him, I find Mr. Crocker next to useless. It is time for him to go. I hope someone will rise up and beat him in the election. By the way, why the heck do we elect some of the positions in county government that we do, anyway? Registrar of Deeds and Clerk of Court? Come on.

From the WMPM web site: Clerk Of Court Will Crocker Will Seek Seventh Term - Clerk of Court Will Crocker has announced his intentions to seek a seventh consecutive term in office. On Wednesday, Crocker told WMPM he would seek reelection this year. Crocker said it has been a privilege to serve the citizens and wants to continue in public service for another four years. He said the biggest change the Clerk of Court’s Office has undergone since he was first elected in 1978 was computerization, including full automation four years ago. Will Crocker said he strives to operate his office as effectively as possible in a manner to serve the people of Johnston County as best as possible.
