I am not a Republican. I stopped my membership with them a couple of years ago. I am certainly not a Democrat. I think that I would rather be stabbed to death with a plastic fork than be a Democrat. Apparently, there are a bunch of people in this country who are just as pissed at the GOP as I am. Many may not be speaking with their voting or affiliation registration, but they are speaking with their wallets.
It was news recently that donations are down by 40% and that the GOP has laid off about 65 telemarketers. I have heard reasons on the radio stating that it was not because of the donation dip that the lay offs happened. I don't buy it.
Look, the Republican Party has greatly disappointed me and millions of other conservatives. We were promised that the Department of Education would be abolished. Instead, it was doubled. The Dubai ports deal, the Harried Myers fiasco, No Child Left Behind, the Medicare drug coverage boondoggle, lack of Social Security reform, McCain-Feingold, Sarbanes-Oxley, and rampant spending have all just plain pissed off the voter base. Thus, the "grass roots" donors are slacking off with their donations. The GOP has done it to themselves.

We had Republicans, most of them RINO's who behaved more like Dems. I agree, a so called "Two Party System" where one party behaves pretty much like the other is rather like a ONE Party System with two conferences. Like there used to be an AFL and an NFL and now it's all NFL with an AFC.
What's a Mother to do? Slacking off puts Dems who are dyed in the wool SOCIALISTS. I don't believe our country can withstand four years of the Dems running all three branches of government. God help us! God forgive us for failing to pray for our leaders, fretting, and failing to trust God, which I am guilty of.
