Why is this national news? I have done the same thing in a car.

I fail to comprehend why this is on The Drudge Report. I had a car that went that fast...in a 55 zone. So what?
A motorcyclist clocked by state police driving 144 miles-an-hour in a 55 mile-an-hour zone in New York's Putnam County faces having his license suspended.

I had a cousin who tricked me into riding in his muscle car when I was a teenager...I never rode with again.

He went over 160 mph.

Personally, I've never driven faster than 100 mph myself and only reason I did so to elude arrest (for speeding) one time when I was a teenager. I more afraid of my father than the law at the time. He would have killed me.
